Britney Jean Spears
Britney Jean Spears was conceived in
McComb, Mississippi, and was raised in Kentwood. As a young girl, Britney
attended dance classes, and she was great in gymnastics. She won numerous
contests and other similar. Britney loves to sing, but most important, she was
a fan of dancing classes. At age 8 Britney was a contestant in The All New
Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but was denied due to her youth. Then, she was
directed to "Ruthless" the off-Broadway production, in which she
performed as the lead character for two years. The show was re-run in The All
New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time , as the mouseketeer. However, her
biggest break came in the late 1990s when she signed a contract as a Jive
Recording Artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was
released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of
her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that was released in May
2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has one of
her brothers Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was
born to be an upcoming star at a young age. Britney loved singing and was
inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. After having a lot of dance and
vocal lessons and performing in numerous talent shows and fairs, Britney was a
candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) TV series between 1989 and
1994 when she was just aged eight, but was too young to play the role. Instead,
Britney, her mother and baby sister moved to New York where she starred in a
number of TV ads and in an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", where
she was understudy with Natalie Portman. The love for dancing and music took
over and, two years after that, she was auditioning for the role on
"Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, won the part with Christina
Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
